Ogogo: Can a patient survive stage four cancer? Here are things to know

Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is battling stage-four cancer, with his daughters appealing for medical assistance to save his life.

According to Binaytara, stage-four cancer occurs when the disease has spread beyond the organ where it originated to distant parts of the body. However, the diagnosis does not necessarily mean death is imminent.

Ogogo’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, separately appealed on Instagram for Nigerians, well-wishers and medical professionals experienced in cancer treatment to assist their father.

According to The Punch, stage-four cancer treatment generally focuses on controlling the disease, prolonging survival and maintaining quality of life, depending on the cancer’s origin and spread.
