Ohio election: Ramaswamy could become America’s third-wealthiest elected official

Republican Ohio governorship candidate Vivek Ramaswamy could become America’s third-richest elected official if he wins the November election, according to a new wealth estimate.

Forbes estimates the 41-year-old businessman’s fortune at $2.3 billion, up from $1.8 billion last year and $1 billion in March 2025.

If elected, Ramaswamy would rank behind President Donald Trump, worth an estimated $7 billion, and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, valued at $4.2 billion.

Much of Ramaswamy’s wealth stems from Roivant Sciences, the drug-development company he founded in 2014.

Forbes said Roivant shares have climbed about 85 per cent this year, while Ramaswamy has sold substantial holdings, including roughly $400 million worth during this year’s first quarter alone.
