‘One term not enough’: TY Danjuma backs Tinubu
Former Defence Minister Theophilus Danjuma has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Tinubu in 2027, saying one term is not enough to finish the administration’s projects.
Former Defence Minister General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd.) has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027, saying one term is not enough to complete the projects the administration has begun, Tribune Online reports.
Danjuma spoke at the 20th anniversary and fundraising ceremony of the Adamawa State Government House Chapel in Yola on Saturday. He was represented by former Chief of Army Staff General Ishaya Bamaiyi, who said Tinubu’s appointment of many Christians to government positions showed his fairness and tolerance.
Danjuma urged Nigerians, especially in the Middle Belt, to back the president’s re-election bid. He also pledged N250 million toward the chapel’s expansion.
First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by Deputy Governor Professor Farauta George, urged youths not to be used by desperate politicians as tools of destruction. She called for responsible conduct before, during and after the 2027 elections.
Former Governor Boni Haruna recalled that the chapel was established in 2005 alongside a mosque in the Government House’s original design.
