OPC backs Tinubu’s 2027 presidential ambition

The O’odua People’s Congress (OPC), under the late Dr Frederick Fasehun faction, declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, according to Vanguard News.

The declaration came Saturday in Lagos during the group’s 32nd Founders Day celebration and inauguration of a new National Executive Council. OPC President Wasiu Afolabi pledged the group would back Tinubu as it did in 2023, urging other regions, particularly the North, to reciprocate the support Tinubu gave former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Afolabi also called on leaders to prioritize security and welfare, offering OPC’s assistance in tackling insecurity in the South-West.
