Opta Supercomputer predicts 2026-27 Champions League winner

Arsenal have been backed by Opta’s supercomputer to finally lift the UEFA Champions League trophy in the 2026/27 campaign after coming agonisingly close last season.

According to TNT Sports, Mikel Arteta’s Premier League champions have been given a 21.2% chance of winning the competition, despite facing a difficult league-phase schedule that includes Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern Munich are ranked second with a 19.9% chance, while Manchester City sit third on 12%. Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain are fourth at 7.7%, followed by Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Among the other English clubs, Liverpool are given a 5.1% chance, Manchester United 3.7%, while Aston Villa have a 2% chance of going all the way.
