Osun election: Adeleke calls for release of detained PDP chairman
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has demanded the immediate release of the state PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, who was arrested shortly after voting in Saturday’s governorship election, according to a report by Daily Post Nigeria.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said Bisi was picked up at his Ilesa residence and taken to an undisclosed location without explanation. The governor accused the APC of colluding with security agents to block result monitoring and manipulate collation centres, describing the arrests as intimidation targeting his supporters and a broader attack on democratic principles.
