Osun: Over 100 alleged imported voters with new PVCs arrested at lawmaker’s residence
Over 100 alleged imported voters carrying new Permanent Voter Cards have been arrested at the residence of Osun State House of Assembly member Hon. Abiola Ibrahim, representing Irewole-Isokan Constituency, ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election, DAILY POST reports.
In a viral video, the suspects were seen being interrogated by security operatives. Ibrahim reportedly confessed that the group had been camped at his residence to vote for the Accord Party in the election.
The incident has raised serious concerns about electoral manipulation ahead of the keenly contested poll between incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and APC and ADC candidates. The Osun State Police Command had not responded to inquiries at press time.
