Osun police debunk report of four slain Accord members in Ilesa
Osun State Police Command has debunked claims by the Imole Campaign Council that four Accord Party members were killed in Ilesa, according to a report by Vanguard.
Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi said the incident was cult-related, with only one victim, Olakunle Owoeye, confirmed dead. The claim, made by TICC spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi without location or victims’ names, came ahead of Saturday’s Osun governorship election.
Meanwhile, Ijesa-South campaign council chairman Dosu Babatunde assured residents of adequate security, commending President Bola Tinubu and security agencies for maintaining peace in the state.
