Outrage as Borno commissioner threatens to flog, ‘cut off fingers’ of those who vote against APC

Borno State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Sainna Buba, has drawn widespread criticism after threatening political opponents with violence if they fail to support the APC ahead of 2027.

Speaking at a campaign event organised by the Tinubu City Boy Movement, Buba warned, “Whoever shows us a finger, we will break his finger,” and vowed that government benefits would favour only supporters, saying dissenters “will be flogged.” According to Daily Trust, the remarks come days after an FCT council chairman told residents to vote APC or leave. Borno State Government has not responded.
