Palace had aimed for back-to-back league wins for the first time in 2026 after beating Fulham 3-2 the previous weekend, according to London Now. The hosts took an early lead through Anan Khalaili, but Ipswich levelled via Emersonn’s header in the 23rd minute. Palace’s afternoon worsened when Axel Disasi was shown a straight red card in the 34th minute for a challenge on Jack Clarke. Ipswich took the lead before half-time through Leif Davis, capitalising on Takehiro Tomiyasu’s deep positioning.

Jørgen Strand Larsen equalised for Palace with 15 minutes remaining, and Khalaili later missed a chance to put the hosts ahead. However, former Millwall striker Flemming struck in stoppage time, converting a rebound off the crossbar from Davis’s header to secure Ipswich’s win. It marked Ipswich’s second Premier League victory of the season and their first top-flight win after conceding first since 2001. Palace manager Pierre Sage is still waiting for his first home win in charge.
