I’ll make crude refining cheaper if elected president — Atiku
Atiku said his administration would support local refineries to reduce production costs and pass savings to Nigerians, according to Daily Post Nigeria.
Using an analogy of shoemakers in Aba, he said government should support local production rather than subsidise imports. He said the policy extended beyond fuel, aiming to lower transport fares, food costs, and energy expenses for traders, tailors, welders, and small business owners.
“I will make life affordable again. I will make Nigeria affordable again,” he wrote on X, describing the pledge as personal.
