PAP sponsors 54 scholars for postgraduate studies in UK
The Presidential Amnesty Programme has deployed 54 Niger Delta beneficiaries to the United Kingdom for postgraduate studies under its offshore scholarship scheme.
The scholars departed Abuja and arrived in London on Friday, according to a statement issued by PAP’s Special Assistant on Media, Igoniko Oduma, and reported by Punch Newspapers. The latest batch brings total offshore scholarship deployments in 2026 to 243.
The beneficiaries will study programmes including software engineering, cybersecurity, and forensic audit. PAP Administrator Dennis Brutu Otuaro urged the scholars to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, obey UK laws, and return home to contribute to national development. He credited President Bola Tinubu’s support for enabling the large-scale deployments.
