The Anambra State Government has urged voters to reject Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 general election, accusing the former governor of undermining the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

According to The PUNCH, the state government made the call through its official X account managed by Governor Charles Soludo’s New Media office.

In a graphic describing Obi as a betrayer, it stated: “A betrayal alert for Ndi APGA. Since 2014, Obi has had one mission: to destroy the party that made him.”

“In 2015, while President Tinubu stood with APGA, Obi backed the opposition to bury us. Do not be deceived by a man who abandoned his own house. Anambra is APGA. Ndi APGA, defend your home, resist the NDC.”

Soludo had previously declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, citing their longstanding friendship and the president’s economic reforms.

APGA also endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election in July. Obi had not responded to the latest allegations at the time of the report.
