Plateau: Gunmen break into houses, kill 20
More than 20 people have reportedly been killed in a midnight attack on Binper community in Bwai District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to reports by Daily Trust, the attackers invaded the community while residents were asleep, moving from house to house and attacking victims.
National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Bulus Dabit, confirmed the attack, while eyewitness Daniel Musa said several residents were injured and others remained missing.
The incident occurred less than a week after three people were killed amid accusations of arson between Fulani and Mwaghavul communities.
Security authorities had yet to comment on the latest attack.
