Police arrest Wellington Hospital doctors over organ harvesting racket

Police have arrested four suspects, including two Wellington Hospital doctors, over an organ harvesting and human trafficking syndicate targeting vulnerable people in Nasarawa State.

According to a Peoples Gazette report, the Special Tactical Squad said one suspect, Emmanuel Ode, confessed to luring a victim whose kidney was harvested for $1,250.

The syndicate allegedly forged documents to obtain consent from financially desperate victims. Wellington Hospital could not be reached for comment.
