Aston Villa sign Nicolas Jackson in club-record deal

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea in a reported club-record £65 million deal. According to Al Jazeera, the 25-year-old has agreed a five-year contract and will reunite with manager Unai Emery, who previously worked with him at Villarreal.

Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, scoring 11 goals and winning the Bundesliga and German Cup. He scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for Chelsea after joining in 2023. His arrival comes as Villa prepare for Ollie Watkins’ reported £50m move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
