La Liga reports Barcelona fans over controversial chants

Barcelona could face disciplinary action after La Liga reported five incidents involving supporters during their home league clash with Athletic Club. According to Barca Universal, chants targeting Spain, the national team, the National Police and Atletico Madrid were recorded at Camp Nou.

The incidents also came amid heightened tensions following a recent police intervention involving a Barcelona supporter carrying an Estelada flag. La Liga has referred its report to the RFEF Competition Committee and Anti-Violence Commission, which will determine whether the behaviour warrants punishment. Barcelona have yet to learn whether the incidents will result in any formal sanction.
