Post-mortem confirms head injury caused death of Footballer Ezekiel Williams
A Home Office post-mortem examination has confirmed that 26-year-old Hendon FC footballer Ezekiel Williams died from a head injury following an incident in Milton Keynes on Sunday morning, according to a report by London Now.
Thames Valley Police renewed their appeal for witnesses on November 5 following the preliminary findings.
Williams, who played as a midfielder for the north-west London club after joining in September, was remembered by Hendon FC as a “hard-working and selfless” player, prompting the club to postpone their London Senior Cup tie out of respect.
Three individuals from Luton have been arrested in connection with the investigation: two men, aged 21 and 28, remain in custody on suspicion of murder, while a 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on conditional court bail.
Authorities continue to urge anyone with information or footage to come forward.
