Putin plots ‘to drown Kyiv in sewage’

A former Russian military commander has threatened to leave Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, “drowning in sewage” as Russian strikes target electricity and water infrastructure.

According to The US Sun, former Wagner Group commander Andrei Medvedev made the remarks amid intensified Russian attacks across Ukraine.

Power outages at a water facility have reportedly caused sewage problems in Kyiv’s Borshchagivka district, raising fears of a public health emergency.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to consider temporarily leaving the capital, warning that “today the issue is survival.”

He added: “Every day, we receive new reports of destroyed buildings, injured, and dead – the shelling of our city is intensifying.”

The report said Russian strikes killed at least 78 people and injured 215 others within two days.

Attacks reportedly affected 30 Ukrainian cities, disrupting transport and electricity supplies.

Ukrainian forces subsequently struck a Russian defence facility, while drone activity reportedly disrupted flights at Moscow airports.

The alleged sewage threat has not been independently verified.
