RC Lens sack Dino Toppmöller after just four Ligue 1 games

RC Lens have reportedly sacked manager Dino Toppmöller after just four Ligue 1 matches in charge, according to Get French Football News, citing L’Équipe. Toppmöller replaced Pierre Sage in the summer after Sage guided Lens to second place and their first Coupe de France trophy.

However, the German has overseen just one Ligue 1 victory, alongside one draw and two defeats, leaving Lens 10th. A 2-2 draw against newly promoted Le Mans further increased pressure. Toppmöller did win the Trophée des Champions and a Champions League match against Slavia Prague, but he has reportedly left before Friday’s clash with Monaco.
