Remi Tinubu: Re-elect my husband so I can enjoy Nigeria in old age
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has appealed to South-East voters to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, according to Vanguard.
Speaking in Owerri, Imo State, during an empowerment programme for women, Mrs Tinubu said she wanted to “enjoy Nigeria” in her old age and would continue working toward that goal. The initiative, run through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals, is expected to benefit 18,500 women nationwide with items including generators and grinding machines.
Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma added support for 2,000 women, bringing beneficiaries in the state to 2,500. Mrs Tinubu responded by announcing ₦100,000 cash support for each beneficiary. Uzodimma pledged the state’s backing for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
