Iranian officials reportedly “would not be surprised” if Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei dies soon, amid claims that his health is extremely poor.

According to The Times of India, citing IranWire, two sources close to President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration said concerns about Khamenei’s condition are growing.

Khamenei has made no public appearances or televised speeches since assuming the position and reportedly has not met cabinet members since the February 28 US-Israeli strikes. Iranian authorities have not confirmed that he is critically ill, and the claims remain independently unverified. President Pezeshkian recently said communicating with Khamenei was “very difficult.”
