‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ author Robert Kiyosaki opens up about $1.2bn debt
‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ author Robert Kiyosaki has revealed he is $1.2 billion in debt through real estate investments, according to Tribune Online, which cited his appearance on the Get Rich Education podcast.
Kiyosaki, 79, said the debt funds income-generating assets but warned against blindly copying his strategy without proper financial education. His former wife, Kim Kiyosaki, clarified the figure reflects shared business debt across roughly 1,500 apartment units, not his personal liability.
Vanity Fair estimated his actual share at $30-60 million, given his reported $3 million annual income.
