US lobbying firm brings Tinubu heroin trafficking allegations before Congress
A Washington-based lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., has brought allegations of heroin trafficking against President Bola Tinubu before members of the US Congress, according to Daily Post Nigeria, citing the firm’s statement on X.
The firm said it briefed congressional staff on a Freedom of Information Act case tied to allegations from the 1980s and 1990s, arguing the matter carries implications for US national security, counter-narcotics cooperation, and Nigeria-US relations.
It questioned whether Tinubu represents “a strategic asset or an increasing national-security liability” amid Washington’s reassessment of African partnerships.
