‘Rigging is now very difficult’- Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor and PDP chieftain Ayodele Fayose has declared that electoral rigging has become “very very difficult” in Nigeria, while boldly predicting that President Bola Tinubu would secure 12 million votes in the 2027 presidential election, according to Daily Trust

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Fayose — recently appointed Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency Board under the Tinubu administration — also weighed in on the controversy between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and APC governors over the Rainbow Coalition.

“Asiwaju will have 12 million votes. Go and write it down. You know to rig election is now difficult. Very very difficult,” Fayose said, describing both Wike and the APC governors as ultimately united behind Tinubu’s re-election despite their public disagreements.
