Russia threatens to strike UK military sites over storm shadow use

Russia could strike British military facilities in Ukraine and beyond if Kiev continues using UK-supplied weapons against Russian territory, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned, RT reports.

The comments follow reports that Ukrainian forces used British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles in a strike on Donetsk that wounded at least eight civilians.

Zakharova accused Britain of pursuing a “strategic defeat” of Russia and urged UK residents to consider the “catastrophic consequences” of their government’s actions.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov separately accused Britain of “participating in this war,” warning Russian forces are targeting missile production sites.
