SDP presidential candidate Adebayo vows to prosecute corrupt officials who steal public funds

Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has said corrupt officials who steal public funds should face execution, comparing them to armed robbers, according to Sahara Reporters. Speaking to SYMFONI TV ahead of the 2027 election, he backed capital punishment “especially” for corruption, arguing mismanaged hospital funds “kill thousands” compared to one victim of armed robbery.

Adebayo said anyone who “willingly” takes human life “doesn’t deserve” their own, while insisting the judiciary must protect the innocent. He extended the stance to terrorism and kidnapping, blamed insecurity on political interference, and backed state police, arguing any government capable of making laws should enforce them too.
