Seyi is running after his father – Tinubu addresses son’s political ambition

President Bola Tinubu has commended his son, Seyi Tinubu, for his activities with the City Boy Movement, urging him to intensify his efforts in mobilising young Nigerians.

According to The Punch, Tinubu spoke on Monday during an event organised by the movement, praising Seyi for engaging young people without seeking political office.

“Now permit me a personal moment, with my son, Seyi. I have watched what you’ve started with City Boy. I got some calls within the last few weeks asking me what is Seyi running for. He’s running after his father,” Tinubu said.

The President urged his son to remain committed to national service and inspire future generations.

“Go further. Serve harder. Set an example that your own children, my grandchildren, will be proud to follow,” he said.

Seyi, patron of the City Boy Movement, has been involved in grassroots mobilisation and promoting his father’s Renewed Hope Agenda among Nigerian youths ahead of the 2027 elections.
