Shettima vows Nigeria won’t tolerate dehumanisation of its citizens in South Africa

Vice President Kashim Shettima says Nigeria will no longer tolerate the dehumanisation or mistreatment of its citizens in South Africa, Peoples Gazette reports.

Speaking to journalists in Luanda, Angola, where he represented President Bola Tinubu at the AU’s 21st Extraordinary Summit, Shettima condemned ongoing xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks against Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa.

He said Nigeria remained committed to resolving the issue through dialogue but warned that unacceptable treatment of its citizens would not be tolerated. Shettima urged South African authorities to protect lives and uphold human dignity in enforcing immigration policies.
