Shivon Zilis announces split from Elon Musk

Elon Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis have ended their relationship after having four children together, according to Zilis.

Forbes reported that Zilis announced the split Friday on X after a user noted that Musk had unfollowed her on the platform.

“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes,” Zilis wrote. “I will miss him dearly.”

She added: “I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness.”

Musk and Zilis, Neuralink’s director of operations and special projects, welcomed twins Strider and Azure through IVF in 2021. They later had daughter Arcadia in 2024 and son Seldon Lycurgus in 2025.

Zilis previously testified that she and Musk initially had a brief romantic encounter before becoming close friends and colleagues.

She said she hoped they could remain “great friends and coparents” following the breakup.
