Sylva’s exit won’t weaken APC in Bayelsa – Ex-spokesman
The exit of former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, from the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not affect the party’s strength in Bayelsa State, a former APC spokesman, Perry Tukuwei, has said.
Tukuwei, who spoke amid Sylva’s resignation from the party, dismissed concerns that the former minister’s departure could weaken the APC ahead of future elections. According to Punch, he said the APC remains strong and capable of retaining its support base in the state despite Sylva’s decision.
He added that political parties must continue to evolve, while expressing confidence that the APC would remain a major force in Bayelsa’s political landscape.
