Three arrested over N42m vehicle, UK visa scams in Ondo

Police in Ondo State have arrested three suspects over separate fraud cases involving a N23 million Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 and a £10,000 UK student visa scam, according to P.M. News.

Command spokesperson DSP Abayomi Jimoh said two suspects, posing as vehicle dealers, allegedly collected the car and an extra N4 million from a complainant under false pretences before converting the proceeds.

In a separate case, suspect Gbenga Omileye allegedly defrauded a man of £10,000, about N19 million, by promising fraudulent UK student visas for his wife and niece using a fake admission letter. Commissioner Felix Ohagwu commended detectives, urging residents to exercise caution in such transactions.
