Tinubu directs full-scale audit of IPPIS to flush out ghost workers, fake agencies

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive audit of federal government payroll systems to eliminate fake agencies and ghost workers. According to TheCable, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu directed Taiwo Oyedele, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, to oversee a forensic audit of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System and other federal agencies.

The directive follows an August 19 Federal Executive Council resolution responding to ICPC findings on fake agencies, ghost workers and control failures across government systems. Further details are expected as the story develops.
