Tompolo launches grassroots movement for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election in Katsina
The founder and convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has unveiled the initiative in Katsina State to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Punch reports that the unveiling, held in a statement signed by Tompolo, saw 34 local government coordinators inaugurated and campaign vehicles presented at the People’s Square in Katsina. Represented by Kestin Pondi, Tompolo said the relationship between Tinubu and Katsina was built on “trust, confidence and inclusion,” urging members to embark on door-to-door mobilisation across wards, communities, markets and households.
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, assured Tinubu of the state’s support for his 2027 re-election bid, describing Katsina as an APC stronghold. He commended Tompolo for choosing Katsina as the first northern state to host the movement’s launch, citing the historical relationship between northern Nigeria and the Niger Delta.
