Trump Promises $5,000 Payment as Republicans battles to retain congress
US President Donald Trump’s promise to pay $5,000 to American adults if Republicans retain Congress is facing questions over funding and eligibility.
According to The Punch, Vice President JD Vance suggested wealthier Americans could be excluded, while the proposed scheme could cost more than $1tn.
Trump made the pledge as Republicans campaign ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
