Trump threatens to demolish Kennedy Center if his name is removed

President Donald Trump has threatened to demolish the Kennedy Center if efforts to remove his name from the performing arts venue succeed.

According to The Daily Beast, the warning came as legal battles intensified over Trump’s push to renovate and rebrand the Washington landmark. A federal judge previously ruled that only Congress can authorize changes to the center’s name, prompting renewed opposition from Rep. Joyce Beatty. The administration argues the building requires major structural repairs and could become unsafe without swift action.

Trump’s allies have also proposed signage crediting him for restoring and renovating the center during his second term.
