‘Two dates, different signatures’:Atiku renews attack on Tinubu’s academic certificate discrepancies
African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has renewed his attack on President Bola Tinubu over alleged discrepancies in academic certificates submitted to INEC, asking why the president should be exempt from the same scrutiny applied to ordinary Nigerian job applicants.
Speaking at an ADC Youth Wing engagement on Wednesday, as reported by Sahara Reporters, Atiku cited reported differences in dates, signatures and degree descriptions across certificate versions. “One version reportedly says June 22, another June 27,” he said.
“If a young Nigerian would be required to explain such discrepancies before getting an ordinary job, why should the man seeking Nigeria’s highest job be exempt from the same standard?” Atiku asked, while also unveiling a youth economic empowerment covenant.
