UEFA reaffirms no confidence in Infantino after FIFA U-Turn
UEFA has reaffirmed its threat to boycott FIFA competitions, insisting Gianni Infantino’s apology over the abandoned FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal does not go far enough.
According to SPORTbible, European football’s governing body said the conditions it set for ending the boycott threat remain unmet, including guarantees that similar proposals will never be revisited.
UEFA also maintained it has lost confidence in Infantino’s leadership, signalling the governance dispute between Europe’s member associations and FIFA remains unresolved despite the governing body’s decision to withdraw the controversial World Cup commercialisation plan.
