The United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the sexual offence case against Nigerian dancer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active despite widespread claims that he had regained his freedom, according to P.M. News, citing The Punch.

The CPS said Poco Lee is still expected to appear for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, further stating that the case is “still live.”

The prosecution service did not confirm whether he had been released on bail or remained in custody, and the court had not clarified his status at the time of filing.

The clarification followed unconfirmed online claims that he had been freed or that the complainant had withdrawn the case.

Poco Lee faces five alleged sexual offences, including attempted rape and two counts of rape, and has not been convicted of any offence.
