UPDATED: Netanyahu received explicit warning days before Oct. 7…he didn’t brief security chiefs…ISRAEL DENIES
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was personally warned that Hamas was planning a major attack roughly 10 days before the October 7 assault but did not alert security chiefs, according to a Mediaite report citing new research from Haaretz journalists. UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed reportedly raised the alarm during a 45-minute call, while Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel separately warned of “a terrifying operation.”
Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and ex-IDF chief Herzi Halevi said they were never briefed on the conversations. Netanyahu’s office called the allegation “an absolute lie,” denying any UAE contact occurred. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said he “knew for a fact” the report is accurate.
