‘We did it’ — Davido reacts to Adeleke’s re-election

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has celebrated the re-election of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, as Osun State governor.

According to Daily Post, the singer marked INEC’s declaration with a brief post on X, writing, “we did it.”

Adeleke, who contested on the Accord Party platform, secured 511,067 votes to defeat APC’s Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes, in the August 15 poll. The result secures Adeleke a second term after a closely contested race.

Davido, a prominent member of the Adeleke family, had openly campaigned for his uncle throughout the election.
