Prisoner, person under EFCC probe can canvass votes — Wike
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has defended the inclusion of an EFCC-probed individual on President Tinubu’s campaign team, according to Punch Newspapers, which aired his media parley on Channels Television.
Wike argued that being investigated, without being charged, does not bar anyone from political participation, insisting even a prisoner could canvass votes.
His remarks followed controversy over Betta Edu’s role as Director of Women Mobilisation in the APC campaign council, despite an ongoing EFCC probe into financial impropriety allegations. Edu has not been found guilty of any offence.
