X users report receiving random payments through X Money

NEW: X users say they are randomly being sent money through X Money, with some users receiving tens of thousands of dollars.

The project is not part of X but is run by ‘UsePaid,’ as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Paid claims they have sent nearly $1.5M to X users through X Money.

The project says that users can “point a token’s creator fees at any X handle” and that they will “pay them out in dollars through X Money.”

Former Head of Product at X Nikita Bier has commented on the project, calling it “a pretty creative hack on X Money,” but says people should have the option to opt out if they want.
