2027: I’ll shut down Nigeria, resist attempt to steal my mandate, even if it takes my life

Presidential contenders including Omoyele Sowore, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi and Donald Duke have unanimously declared at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt that compromised elections will no longer be conceded or left to courts to resolve ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Sahara Reporters,Sowore issued the most forceful warning, vowing to personally resist any attempt to deny him electoral victory. “If anybody takes a vote on an election I won, the person will not be president of Nigeria, I can assure you that. Even if it takes my life,” he declared.

He urged voters to reject candidates who abandoned their mandates in 2023 without fighting back, insisting election winners must be determined at polling units on election day — not in courtrooms.
