Mbappe hattrick sinks Sociedad

Kylian Mbappe announced his La Liga season with a stunning hattrick as Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, recovering from a shaky first half to cruise to victory before their home fans for the first time this season.

Daily Trust reported Mbappe opened the scoring on 40 minutes before Luka Sucic equalised for Real Sociedad, levelling before half-time. The French striker then restored Madrid’s lead early in the second half following a slick exchange with Jude Bellingham, before Vinicius Jr. tapped in a third from Bellingham’s pressing and Mbappe completed his hattrick with a chipped finish from Vinicius’ assist with 10 minutes remaining.
