Speaking Thursday at a Port Harcourt town hall, Obi insisted citizens must actively defend their votes rather than leave election credibility to politicians or officials alone. Responding to a supporter’s pledge of sacrifice, he said, “I’m equally ready to die,” vowing to stand with Nigerians determined to protect their ballot choices. He also linked Nigeria’s infrastructural failures, including refinery challenges, to broader governance shortcomings, urging citizens to use 2027 to demand accountability.
