2027: Tinubu will ‘eat Obi like biscuits’ if he runs alone — Okonkwo
Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, has said only an opposition coalition can defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election, according to a report by Vanguard. Speaking on Ibeju Upgrade Media, Okonkwo dismissed Peter Obi’s chances of unseating Tinubu without a broader alliance, insisting Obi would struggle for northern support even with Rabiu Kwankwaso as running mate.
“If Peter Obi goes against Tinubu alone, Tinubu will eat him like biscuits,” he said, adding that Kano rejected Obi in 2023 and would do so again. He further argued Kwankwaso “has nothing to contribute,” noting his own losses in Kano. His remarks come amid ongoing coalition talks ahead of 2027.
