‘EFCC embarrassed me’ — Tinubu orders reversal of Osun account freeze
President Bola Tinubu has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to immediately return to court and vacate the order freezing Osun State Government’s accounts, The Gazette reports.
In a statement, Tinubu said he was not troubled by the EFCC’s mandate but by the timing, given the state’s imminent gubernatorial election. He said he had never interfered with the agency but felt compelled to act to protect public confidence in the electoral process.
