The Federal High Court in Lagos has awarded ₦5.5 million in damages and costs against Dana Airline in favour of lawyer Babajide Idowu over a 12-hour flight delay in 2018.

According to Tribune Online, Justice Y. Bogoro, in a May 26 judgment, held that Dana breached its contract of carriage and found no evidence the airline took measures to avoid the delay.

The court ordered the airline to pay ₦5 million in damages and ₦500,000 in solicitor’s fees, citing the Civil Aviation Act, 2006.
