FG installs ex-governor Fayose as Rural Electrification Agency chairman
The federal government has inaugurated a new governing board for the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), with former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose as chairman.
According to Peoples Gazette, Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe, inaugurating the board in Abuja, urged members to adopt people-centred leadership and ensure policies improved ordinary Nigerians’ lives, citing off-grid programmes like mini-grids and solar home systems.
Fayose described his appointment as a decisive step toward fixing Nigeria’s power sector, pledging the board’s full commitment to delivering on the REA’s mandate.
